Nobody Home at DOGE in Celebration of International Waffle Day!
Welcome relief for the overworked Department of Governmental Efficiency and United States Digital Service

Prior to being handed over to DOGE most famous occupant of the illustrious 736 Jackson Place address was President Theodore Roosevelt and his family. They stayed there during 1902 renovations of the White House.
My Freedom of Information Requests
Following congressman Jamie Raskin’s suggestion, I sent by certified mail freedom of information requests to both DOGE and the United States Digital Service, formally requesting personal data either agency has obtained for me. I knew the crews would be busy over there but surely my letters would be received and signed for. But guess what? Nobody was home at either address!
The USPS informed me the letters could not be received because—Duh!—Tuesday March 25 was a holiday and the offices were closed! Sure enough, how could I have forgotten? March 25 is International Waffle Day! What was I thinking, seeing clients on International Waffle Day?
The USPS assured me the letters would be delivered the next business day which turned out to be April 8. What a dope I was, working all those days inbetween? But the funny thing is there was still nobody home at 736 Jackson Place. According to the USPS, hoorah! The letters were picked up by somebody, I am hoping is attached to DOGE.
Well let’s see what happens next. Stay tuned!
